A little bit about me…

About Me

My name is Peter and I was born and raised in Dorchester-on-Thames

I have always been adventurous and have enjoyed Scuba diving from a young age. I have traveled the length and breadth of the country diving Chisel Beach to Scapa flow.  I have also served in the Territorial Army with the Green Jackets this time travelling to Germany, Petra, etc undertaking many challenges and always loving working as a team.  During this time I also undertook an apprenticeship at a local cabinet makers and, after completing my apprenticeship, I set up my own joinery business.

Alas this was short lived the first time around after a motor cycle accident which led me to pursuing an office job for a few years but but still my heart was working with wood and making beautiful things that would last.

I eventually returned to the company, where I had completed my apprenticeship, as workshop manager and during this time I was responsible for many successful projects all over the world from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to the exclusive properties of the south of France  including the occasional super yacht.  However I still yearned to be my own boss and decided to set up P J S Designs Ltd.  Working with another Cabinet maker the company has completed various projects small and large, commercial and domestic in areas local to the workshop and in London at prestigious locations such as Kensington Gardens and Notting Hill.

My pastimes include:

  • Walking my Dog
  • Supporting Oxford United
  • Building and Flying Model Planes
  • Rebuilding my 1970’s MG
  • Rebuilding my 1950’s Royal Enfield Motor Bike

What clients have said about my work

Peter you have done so many things over the years and now I want you to let me know when you can transform my bedroom like you did my kitchen. You saved me the hassle of emptying all the cupboards and made the kitchen look fantastic, will show you pictures once I have got it tiled. To think you put it in about 20 years ago and it looks like new.

Wendy LarkinHeadington, Oxford

I am delighted with my kitchen, everything is how I imagined. Nothing was too difficult and Peter designed it around my needs. I was even able to have the colour I wanted. I would recommend Peter and his team to everyone.
